Dr. Ali Asgary

Dr. Asgary graduated from University of Ontario Institute of Technology in 2014 with a Bachelor degree in Health Science and from New York Chiropractic College in 2017 with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. Dr. Asgary is certified in Activator, Lower extremity diagnosis, Shockwave therapy, and Rocktape. Dr. Asgary’s approach involves active patient participation and combines the best of chiropractic, soft tissue, and rehabilitation techniques to help patients achieve a pain-free and healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Asgary’s clinical area of focus includes manual therapy. Dr. Asgary enjoys working closely with patients to help them reduce pain, increase range of motion, and improve mobility. Dr. Asgary also enjoys working with athletes to help improve their athletic performance. As a former athlete, Dr. Asgary understands the importance of chiropractic care and the effect it can have on the overall strength of ones body. He believes that the natural approach to chiropractic care can help people of all ages achieve optimum wellness, both physically and mentally
Dr. Cheng
Chiropractor
Dr. Nicholas Cheng is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College located in Toronto, Ontario. Prior to this, he was a student at the University of Waterloo’s School of Public Health and Health Systems, majoring in Health Studies with a minor in Gerontology (co-operative program). His broad work experience at hospitals, government organizations, and healthcare facilitates deepened his passion for helping others.
As an evidence-informed practitioner who aims to work together with his patients as a team, Dr. Cheng creates individualized treatment plans that takes into account the latest medical and scientific research along with his patient’s goals, preferences, and values.
Dr. Cheng’s approach involves hands-on techniques such as chiropractic adjustments, soft-tissue techniques, acupuncture, exercise rehabilitation, and most importantly, education and aims to use these skills to create a lasting and meaningful impact for his patients.

Advanced Spine Centre is expanding and has added a new Physio to the team! Meet Mina, our Registered Physiotherapist. Mina has been working as a Physiotherapist for more than 20 years. She has completed her Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Shiraz in Iran.
She began her career specializing in Orthopaedic Rehabilitation which she still enjoys and continues to practice. She has experience treating a variety of different musculoskeletal complaints. She also has extensive training on Prenatal and Post-partum Physiotherapy.
Mina believes each client is unique and therefore needs a customized treatment tailored to their need. When she is not treating others, Mina enjoys spending quality time with her family, swimming, and listening to music.
Elmer
Registered Physiotherapist
Elmer is a registered Physiotherapist with over 10 years of experience in the health industry. He is very knowledgeable in the Sport Injury Management. He has been working with a variety of different athletes providing the best care. Elmer’s approach consists of hands-on manual therapy to decrease pain and improve mobility.
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, trying out new Cafes and going for hikes.
Wilma
Registered Massage Therapist & Osteopath
Wilma is a new addition to the team. She is a dual licensed practitioner in the healthcare industry providing Massage Therapy and Osteopathic techniques to patients to help overcome their injuries. With over 6+ years of experience Wilma has had successful results with treating a variety of different type of musculoskeletal conditions.
Wilma has graduated from Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy in Toronto in 2018. She graduated from Ontario School of Osteopathy and Alternative Medicine in 2016. Her goal is to be able to apply her skills and technique from both an osteopath approach and massage to get the best clinical results for the patient.
She provides a variety of different massages such as Deep Tissue, Swedish relaxation, and Lymphatic Detox. She believes every client is unique and therefore a tailored treatment for their condition will get them the best results.
Ada
Registered Massage Therapist
Ada is an efficient, energetic and dedicated individual. Ada completed her BSc in psychology and has over 10 years working as an Aesthetician and Personal Support Worker. Her experience providing care in these fields has allowed her to work with a wide range of people and strengthened her ability to address their needs.
Ada’s passion for massage therapy is driven by her objective to provide exceptional patient-focused care to help people achieve their goal. She is highly skilled and knowledgeable in various massage therapy techniques and modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, stretching and much more.
Her clinical experience at Humber College allowed her the opportunity to care for patients with different conditions such as acquired brain injury, palliative care, people with immunocompromised systems, expecting moms, new moms and their infants.
Ada is always looking to challenge herself to improve professionally and personally, and consistently striving to deliver transformational care while establishing impeccable rapport with patients and peers.
Kim
Registered Massage Therapist
Kim has been a holistic practitioner for over 25 years and is a Registered Massage Therapist, completing the comprehensive and accredited ITC Kikkawa College 2200 hours program in 2012. She is currently in her 3rd year in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Kim has attended many advanced training courses/seminars and specializes in chronic pain and sport injuries (e.g. concussion, strains, sprains and other soft tissue injuries).
Kim’s passionate about her work and healing people who are in need of answers and solutions offering an array of treatments and options. Kim’s work is often described as “very deep therapeutic massage with a gentle approach to the body”. She believes that client education and empowerment are key assets within the recovery and rehabilitation process. Kim strives to work with each client to ensure optimal and effective results through client-centred assessment, treatment and home-care in order to achieve each individual’s health goals. For athletes, Kim prioritizes injury prevention, maximal efficiency of movement and muscle control and timely management of sport-related injuries so that an athlete is able to maintain their competitive edge.

Jho is a Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She graduated 2019 from Oxford College of Arts, Business, and Technology where she exceeded her practical experience requirements.
Jho has always had a passion for helping others which has led her to her career as an RMT. She is passionate about giving the best care possible to each client by providing a deep understanding and knowledge of massage treatment and injury prevention.
Jho will also help you to achieve your goals of treatments by providing home care exercises and pain management strategies.
Leyla

In her acupuncture practices, Leyla applies classical traditional eastern medicine which considers the patients as a whole where every symptom can be related to another.
The goal of this type of medicine is to help your body achieve from within which can balance and lead to the resolution of your symptoms. Acupuncture can also address emotional issues and help you break some cycle of behaviour. The treatment consists of more than just needling. It’s an alternative medicine that can provide pain relief techniques such as cupping, moxibustion, wet cupping, and microsystem laser therapy.
Leylas passion is to help people. She takes pride in being able to help patients get back to their regular lifestyle and has been practicing as a Licensed Acupuncturist for more than 30 years. Leyla continues her education to gain further knowledge in the new techniques taught.

She has been with the Advanced Spine Centre team for about a year now. Shaifali is a team player and can work well with others to get tasks done. Outside of work she enjoys travelling and reading books.

Thea is an international student pursuing her education in Business Management in Lambton College. She is well rounded in dealing with anything related to the administrative field. She is a great addition to the team as she has years of experience in HR management. In her free time she enjoys going out and being around family.
